Our journey began with packing our stuff. We securely packed our Legos with 150 meters of bubble plastic and 1 cubic meter of filling material.
On the news we saw that Saturday 23rd of April was one of the most crowded days on Schiphol airport. We took a safe margin and were present on the airport 3 1/2 hours before our plane would depart.
Luckily for us, there were almost no queues when we arrived at Schiphol and we were at our gate at half past 9.
At the security control we had to unpack the suitcase with the EV3 robots. Everything was OK.
After 9 hours of flying, watching movies and doing puzzles, we arrived at 14.00 local time at Chicago airport.
From there it was about a 1 1/2 hour voyage by metro to our apartment.
Traveling from the airport to our apartment place was quite some experience. The metro looked a bit shabby, but was efficient.
This is the house we rent in Chicago. It is an AirBnb. We have a whole floor in this building with our own kitchen.
After a long day of travelling we had a dinner at the Mexican Cocula Restaurant. The servings where very large. Even Leon didn’t finish his meal fully!
